Education

Conservancy educators utilize classroom visits and hands-on outdoor experiences to teach school groups from Lower Merion and beyond about the relationship between humans and the natural world. During our education programs, children discover the effects of human activity on clean water, the importance of protecting our local watershed, and the unique story of the Mill Creek Valley. By infusing our mission to preserve local history, protect clean water, and conserve open space into positive outdoor experiences, we are able to give depth and meaning to the complex issues facing our region. We strive to leave students with the understanding that individual and community action can make a positive impact on our planet.
