The Annual Meeting allows members to elect a slate of candidates to our Board of Directors. In preparation for the Annual Meeting, and according to our bylaws, the Governance Committee proposes the following members be elected to the Board of Directors:

Tania Alexander A current resident of Bryn Mawr, Tania is originally from Vancouver, Canada, and has lived in many parts of the world. With a background in Merchandising and Design, Tania has worked with Laura Ashley Canada and UK for over a decade. A mother of three, Tania is active in the fundraising community locally and nationally including a 100 km hike/run in Sidney for Oxfam. She serves on several committees for the Conservancy including the Gala committee.
Laurie Beach Active in a number of community nonprofits, Laurie, has been a resident of Bryn Mawr for over 40 years. She has a long background in business, advertising, and nonprofit fundraising. Laurie was first elected to the Board in 2005 and is active on the board’s Preservation Committee and Gala Committee.
Todd Bressi A Narberth-based urban designer, city planner and writer who focuses on the intersection of public art and city design. He manages his own public art consulting practice and serves as Chair of the Conservancy’s Board of Directors. Todd was first elected to the Board in 2008.
Ellen Davis Retired after two decades of service as President and CEO of International House in West Philadelphia, Ellen brings a wealth of experience in the nonprofit world. A resident of Penn Valley, she has been active on numerous regional nonprofit boards and serves as the Conservancy’s Chair of the Development Committee. Ellen was first elected to the Board in 2002.
George Day The Geoffrey T. Boisi Professor of Marketing at Penn’s Wharton School is an expert in marketing and author of numerous books, studies, and articles. A Villanova resident, he consults widely on marketing strategy and innovation. Sandy served as co-chair of the Governance Committee. He was first elected to the Board in 2005
Brian Hoppy serves as a Senior Vice President and the Global Director of the Environmental Sciences & Planning division of HDR. A resident of Wynnewood, Brian is also Chair of the Lower Merion Township’s Environmental Advisory Council, and serves on the Township’s Civic Engagement Committee. Brian also serves on the US Department of Commerce Environmental Technologies Trade Advisory Committee. Brian serves on the Development committee and the Communications task force. He has taken a leadership role in the Conservancy’s Stormwater 5K Trail Run.
Michael P. McCann, Ph.D. A resident of Bala Cynwyd and a biology professor at St. Joseph’s University, Mike is a longtime member of the Conservancy’s Environmental Committee. He’s been a key player in our BirdWatch program as both watcher and data manager, assisting in the growing database of the numbers and kinds of birds observed. Mike currently serves as the Co-Chair of the Preservation Committee. Mike was first elected to the Board in 2008.
