Truly understanding the stresses to our local waterways starts with understanding the basics. The Conservancy invites you to a two-part series this spring to see first-hand the work going into a regional collaboration to improve the health of the Delaware River Watershed.
Part 1: A Look At the Health of Indian and Mill Creek
During Part 1, The Conservancy Staff and Villanova Professor, Dr. Steve Goldsmith, will examine the fundamentals of our region’s notable waterways and share how the Conservancy and Villanova University collect and use real-time data to better understand the current state of our waterways. Then take a look at how each resident and municipality can make changes to support the health of our streams.
Part 2: Creekside Conservation and Cocktails +21
Part 2 will be a hands-on class in Mill Creek during which you’ll get a glimpse at what goes into the various chemical and biological collection methods used by the Conservancy. Part 2 of The State of our Streams comes complete with cocktails. This is a creek lesson for the big kids ( 21+, please).
