Truly understanding the stresses to our local waterways starts with understanding the basics. The Conservancy invites you to a two-part series this spring to see first-hand the work going into a regional collaboration to improve the health of the Delaware River Watershed.

Part 1: A Look At the Health of Indian and Mill Creek

Wednesday, May 10
Narberth Borough Hall, 100 Conway Avenue, Narberth

During Part 1
, The Conservancy Staff and Villanova Professor, Dr. Steve Goldsmith, will examine the fundamentals of our region’s notable waterways and share how the Conservancy and Villanova University collect and use real-time data to better understand the current state of our waterways. Then take a look at how each resident and municipality can make changes to support the health of our streams.

Part 2: Creekside Conservation and Cocktails +21

Wednesday, May 17
Mill Creek Road and Rose Glen Road, Gladwyne

Part 2 will be a hands-on class in Mill Creek during which you’ll get a glimpse at what goes into the various chemical and biological collection methods used by the Conservancy. Part 2 of The State of our Streams comes complete with cocktails.  This is a creek lesson for the big kids ( 21+, please).
